Karina was a crew-member of the Indiana Clean Lakes Program. In addition to performing field and laboratory analyses, she performed phytoplankton taxonomy identification and enumeration, and was the field logistics coordinator for all field sampling for CLP. Karina received her B.S. in both Environmental Science and Spanish from Indiana University in 2015 and M.P.A. and M.S.E.S. in Applied Ecology from Indiana University in December 2017. In her free time, she volunteered with Wonderlab Children’s Museum as a Visitor Services Assistant. During her time in Bloomington, Karina enjoyed hiking, reading and visiting the many great coffee shops Bloomington has to offer.
